Our Friend Water

Our friend Water is a collection that observes water in all its stages and phases. There are boundless lessons and gifts that water offers onto us. Rest, Patience, Steadiness, Abundance, and the art of flow and movement. Here in this collection, I'm understanding out loud my experiences with water, acknowledging its force and beauty. Using rounded, arching, strong, narrow, or open shapes I'm evoking the feeling or notion of water fall or water flow. I'm using Brass to represent the golden water that a sunrise or sunset creates. I've hammered textures into the pieces because water can be rough. I've forged, filed, polished and shined these pieces to present to you, my offering of our friend, Water.
